Ivana Trump, Ex-Wife of Donald Trump, Dead at 73

The ex-wife of former President Donald Trump, Ivana Trump, died on Thursday in New York City, at the age of 73.

“Our mother was an incredible woman — a force in business, a world-class athlete, a radiant beauty, and caring mother and friend,” the Trump family said in a statement.

She was declared dead in her Upper East Side apartment after being found unconscious at the bottom of a staircase.

“On Thursday, July 14, 2022, at approximately 1240 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an aided individual at 10 East 64 Street, within the confines of the 19 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 73 year-old female unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded to the location and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene,” a police department spokesperson said.

In a statement on social media, Donald Trump Sr. remembered Ivana as a “wonderful, beautiful, and amazing woman, who led a great and inspirational life.”

Ivana was the first wife of Donald Trump. She was the mother of Ivanka, Eric and Donald Jr.

Ivana was born in the former Czechoslovakia in 1949, when it was still under Communist leadership. As a young woman, she competed in ski events. She left and went to Canada, where she became a ski instructor. She later moved to the US in the mid-1970s and married Donald Trump in 1977. She worked with him in his businesses as an executive and was the CEO of the Atlantic City Trump’s Castle.

The couple divorced in 1992, following his affair with actress Marla Maples.

After Ivana’s divorce from Trump, she started several businesses, including beauty and clothing companies.

She remarried twice – to Italian businessman Riccardo Mazzucchelli (1995-97), and Italian actor and model Rossano Rubicondi (2008-09).

In Ivana’s memoir, “Raising Trump,” she wrote about her love and dedication to her children.
