The royal website just got a royal update, and along with it, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got a “demotion”.
After Queen Elizabeth II’s death in September, the website of the Royal Family had to be updated.
Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have been moved down to the end of the page, just above the disgraced Duke of York, Prince Andrew, and below the profiles of senior members of royal family.
Not a great place to be, but better than Prince Andrew.
Previously, Harry and Meghan were listed just below Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Meanwhile, Prince William and Kate Middleton, now the Prince and Princess of Wales, rose up in the ranks on the list. This is not surprising, as Prince William is the next in line for the throne.
As for Archie and Lilibet, Harry and Meghan’s kids, a decision will be made whether or not they will be able to use their royal family status. The pair have been firm in wanting the children to be allowed to use their prince and princess titles, mainly due to security reasons. Should the two be allowed to use their titles, they will also be allowed a “certain level of royal security.” The final decision will be made by grandpa, King Charles III.
The update might be the result of King Charles’ plan to streamline the monarchy, giving focus to those who are actively working with him for his causes.
Harry and Meghan decided to step down from their royal duties in 2020, and the exit was dubbed the “Megxit.” The term, according to Prince Harry, is misogynistic and shows people’s hatred.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen to participate in the events leading to the Queen’s funeral. In spite of meeting Prince William and Kate Middleton for the first time since they left for California in 2020, it seems that no relationship amendments were made.
How low can they go?
