Teen Instagrammer Struck by Train

It’s 10 p.m. Do you know where your children are?

This famous phrase was repeated in Public Service Announcements on US television stations during the late 1960s and 1980s, in an effort to keep children safe and off the streets.

Homer Simpson, in the Simpsons episode “Bart After Dark,” shouted at the television,  “I told you last night — no!”

Maybe they should bring back the public service announcement before the evening news, in light of all the crazy things teens do.

They definitely need it in India.

An Indian engineering student, Ch Akshay Raj, 17, and a friend, were filming a video for social media on a train track in a railway station in southern India.

The footage, which is all over social media, shows the teen walking along the tracks as a fast train comes up behind him at rocket speed. The friend doing the filming is heard shouting at the boy to get out of the way.

The teenager is struck by the oncoming train, but manages to survive.

The train hits the boy in the back, and tosses him to the ground. Meanwhile, his friend is filming the accident, while rushing to help him.

The boy was rushed to the hospital, and suffered facial injuries and fracture of his leg. He is expected to make a full recovery and is now famous on Instagram, after his brush with death.
