A 25-year-old Houston, Texas man decided to dance on top of a moving 18-wheeler on the US-59 Eastex Freeway.
On November 10, in the late morning, the unidentified man died after flying off the roof of the truck he was dancing on top of, as it drove beneath an overpass, and his body crashed into it.
Police say it appeared that the man was recording himself on his cell phone. Video footage from witnesses of the accident appeared online, and the man is seen at one point crouching beneath one bridge before getting back up and dancing, before his final moments when he hit the second overpass.
The man fell off the roof into oncoming traffic, and was declared dead at a nearby hospital.
The driver of the Kenworth 18-wheeler said he did not know that the man had climbed to the top of the trailer portion of the truck, according to the Houston police.
People often do risky things while driving. In February, a San Diego man who apparently was holding a knife while driving died when he crashed into a stopped vehicle in front of him and accidentally stabbed himself.
According to police and media, the collision set off a chain reaction involving five other cars in a huge accident
San Diego fire personnel who responded to the accident scene discovered a knife, protein powder, and blood inside the man’s car. The man had been stabbed in the neck by his own knife. Police assume that he lost focus on his driving because he was using the knife to stir protein powder into a cup of water, according to the evidence in the vehicle.
