One-Year-Old Found Dead in Los Angeles River, Father Charged with Murder

Lynisha Hull tearfully spoke to reporters about her beautiful baby girl’s eyes and how they lit up a room.

Her baby’s body was found by the police near the Ocean Boulevard bridge in the Los Angeles River in Long Beach, California.

The baby’s father is accused of throwing the baby off the bridge into the water.

On Sunday, 22-year-old Jayveyon Burley picked up his two children, three-year-old Zayveyon and one-year-old Leilani, from their mother’s home in Long Beach.

Jayveyon, who was living with his mother in Inglewood, returned to his mother’s home with only one of the children. The grandmother reported her granddaughter missing.

The girl’s mother, Lynisha, said that her father, Jayveyon, was “always overprotective” of his children and that he never was violent with them. She was heartbroken and inconsolable when she learned what he had done to her daughter. She couldn’t understand how he could kill his own child.

Lynisha said that the two did not have an argument when Jayveyon picked up the children, but that he was noticeably upset about something. When he put the kids in the car, he didn’t fasten the baby’s seat belt, and Lynisha secured it, after which he seemed to drive away erratically.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, Jayveyon faces a count of murder and assault on a child causing death. His bail was set to more than $2 million. His motive is still being investigated by the police. His arraignment was will be on January 10, 2023.

Sadly, the three-year-old keeps asking his mother where his sister is.
