Fans of famous actor Kevin Bacon are praising his 30-year-old daughter, “Smile” actress Sosie Bacon, for her performance in Bacon’s Super Bowl commercial.
Before this year’s Super Bowl, the father and daughter created an advertisement for the automobile manufacturer Hyundai. Bacon picks up Sosie in the company’s new electric vehicle, IONIQ 6, at the beginning of a sixty-second commercial starring the actor and his daughter.
In the ad, Sosie, like many other offspring, gives her father a hard time as he drives her around during the day.
Sosie pokes fun at her father’s electro-savviness, noting that he has “gone EV,” a reference to the automaker’s line of electric vehicles. She makes fun of her award-winning father, questioning how a man who has been permanently locked out of his email accounts is all of a sudden EV.
The minute-long advertisement portrays the two engaging in a variety of outings, including charging the automobile and ordering coffee from a nearby cafe.
Sosie ultimately grows weary of her dad, who cannot stop raving about the IONIQ 6’s incredible qualities, as she subtly makes clear.
The commercial’s actor, Kevin Bacon, played great, but fans could not help but point out that his daughter’s acting talents were exceptional.
The advertisement was posted to YouTube, and one user wrote that Sosie’s charm and elegance stole the show, adding that the ad may be his new favorite commercial.
Another fan commented on Sosie’s Instagram that she adored the campaign and Sosie’s facial expressions, and that Bacon seems like a lovable but embarrassing-type dad.
Although this was their first collaboration on a national project, they routinely worked together on TikTok videos posted to Bacon’s account, which he manages to not get locked out of.
