Madonna Under Fire From Grammy’s Appearance – Her Response is Priceless. Here is What She Said

Icon singer/actress Madonna wasn’t happy about all the negative attention she got after her appearance at the 2023 Grammy Awards on Sunday, February 5.

She fired back on social media and said that her critics were misogynistic and ageist.

The 64-year old song artist, recognized as an LGBTQ+ activist among other attributes, introduced the performance of the song “Unholy” by Sam Smith and Kim Petras. Petras is the first transgender woman to win the Best Duo performance award. Sam Smith, who is nonbinary, shared the award.

During the award presentation, social media users began making comments about Madonna’s looks and speculated about what plastic surgery she had done.

The next day, Madonna responded to the social media buzzers and bloggers and said that instead of focusing on the award recipients and her speech, people were focused on photographs taken by a photographer who Madonna alleges distorted her face.

Madonna, who has won seven Grammys herself, took to social media on Tuesday, February 7, and responded to the rumors, speculations, and criticism, saying that she had once again become the subject of ageism and misogyny in society. She wrote how frustrating it is that strong women older than 45 are still judged by their looks.

She said she will never apologize for her creative choices and how she dresses or looks.

She fired back at the media, saying they always had something critical to say about her, but she could take it.

Her Instagram post ended with “Bow down bitches.”

She writes that she looks forward to many more years of being a rebel, standing against superficial comments about her and her body.

In the entertainment business for a long time, Madonna is still a top-selling artist. Tickets to her upcoming show, Madonna: The Celebration Tour, sold over 600,000 tickets in one day. She will perform in London, New York, and Paris with adoring fans.
