Memes, videos, comments, posts and emojis of Ben Affleck’s “happy face” have gone viral all over the internet and social media. All he had to do was look bored.
Ben Affleck’s “happy face” became an internet sensation after he was caught on camera sitting next to his wife, Jennifer Lopez (a/k/a JLo) at the Grammy Awards ceremony looking stone-faced and disinterested.
On an Instagram post about Affleck’s new film, “Air,” JLo joked about his now famous “happy face.”
The trailer for “Air” was released on Thursday, February 9, and JLo went on Instagram to share a movie preview. She added some edits of her own.
JLo added an image of Affleck in his role in the film, Philip Knight, the co-founder of Nike, Inc., along with a caption showing people her husband’s “happy face,” the face made famous at the Grammy Awards Sunday, February 5, just in time for the publicity of his new film. Coincidence?
Affleck was the talk of the town (or more precisely, the internet) during the Grammy Awards, with people speculating about why he had a stone face and didn’t seem to be enjoying the ceremony.
They wondered if he was forced to go because JLo was a presenter at the award show, She presented a Grammy Award to Harry Styles for the best pop vocal album.
Affleck’s new movie “Air” is about the athletic-wear brand Nike and its sports marketing executive’s deal with basketball legend Michael Jordan to launch his famous sneakers and Nike’s best sellers, Air Jordans, in the 1980s.
The cast includes Matt Damon in the role of Sonny Vaccaro, Nike’s Sports Marketing Executive, and Academy Award-winning actress Viola Davis as Deloris, Michael Jordan’s mom.
The film premieres on April 5, with several other award-winning cast members, including Chris Tucker, Jason Bateman, Marlon Wayans, and Gustaf Skarsgard.
Affleck’s embarrassing “happy face” turned out to be a perhaps unintended publicity stunt for his new film.
