Former President Donald Trump allegedly ordered the payment to keep Stormy Daniels quiet because he was worried that his wife, Melania, would learn about his tryst with the former porn star. The presidential election was yet another factor in the hush money payment.
Melania was furious and wanted to leave Trump when the affair was revealed in 2018, which is exactly what Trump feared when he arranged the $130,000 hush payment.
A source claims that Trump was terrified that his wife would learn about his liaison with a pornstar. He was determined to keep it a secret because he was afraid of some of the potential negative effects of his transgressions.
Trump, 76, now asserts that he will be arrested following the conclusion of the hearings by a New York grand jury into his payments to Daniels.
Trump claims that he did nothing improper and disputes any relationship with Daniels.
Although he disputes it, he was worried that his wife would learn about it.
Daniels claimed the rendezvou took place in a hotel room at a Lake Tahoe casino, after a charity golf tournament in 2006.
Melania reportedly became so furious after learning of the relationship in 2018 that she left the White House and stayed in a hotel for several days. Afterward, she made her way from Washington, DC to Palm Beach, Florida. The former first lady avoided her husband, and their relationship was very strained.
Their son Barron was born only four months prior to the alleged affair.
In contrast to previous first ladies, Melania would spend a lot of time away from the White House and would only rarely go to Trump’s West Wing office, a source told the press in 2018.
People started to notice that Melania always appeared cold, almost robotic, and resisted getting close to the former president whenever the couple was spotted out at events together. During Trump’s administration, the two hardly even touched hands.
Daniels, who frequently criticizes Trump and calls him names, described her sexual encounter with him as “the worst 90 seconds of my life.” Trump calls her “horse face.”
