On March 17, the death of actor Lance Reddick stunned Hollywood. He died at the age of 60.
Reddick had thousands of fans despite not being a major celebrity. In addition, he had made numerous friends, including Keanu Reeves, who is obviously heartbroken by his passing.
In an interview with deadline.com, Reeves referred to Reddick as “a lovely and gracious individual, a talented artist with great acting passion.” He stated that he has worked with the actor on four films and has known him for over ten years.
Reeves paid tribute to his close friend following the release of “John Wick: Chapter 4,” the latest installment in the franchise starring Reddick. Reeves wore a blue ribbon in honor of Lance Reddick.
Reddick was best known for his roles in “The Wire,” “Fringe,” “Bosch,” “Oz,” “White House Down,” “Godzilla vs. Kong,” and “Lost,” in addition to the four “John Wick” films.
According to Reddick’s publicist, Mia Hansen, he passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning due to “natural causes.”
Reeves and “John Wick” director Chad Stahelski released a joint statement to Deadline.com expressing their “deep sorrow and heartbreak” over the loss of a close friend and colleague. They reported that he was always professional and pleasant to work with. Everyone who knew him will miss him, and his wife Stephanie, children, family, and friends are in their thoughts and prayers. They intend to dedicate the film to Reddick in his memory.
On March 24, 2023, the fourth installment of the successful franchise will be released in theaters, starring Reddick as Charon, a concierge at the Continental Hotel and Wick’s close friend.
