The shooting occurred during a “senior skip day” gathering of high school seniors ahead of Spring break.
Two suspects were arrested in relation to the shooting. Shawn Goods-Martin, 18, and a 16 year-old are charged with unlawful gun possession.
Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina expressed his condolences for the victims and appreciation for the law enforcement and first responders in a Twitter post.
