Former porn film star Stormy Daniels tweeted in response to former US President Donald Trump’s recent arrest on criminal charges. He is accused of arranging with his lawyer to give her a hush money payment, among other charges.
Daniels tweeted, “It’s definitely more fun being under my sexy man than under arrest,” as Trump entered the courtroom in New York City.
The former president arrived back at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida after his court appearance in New York City, and on Tuesday, April 4, he made an emotional speech to his followers. Trump vehemently denies he had an affair with Daniels. Daniels asserts that it took place soon after the birth of Trump’s son Barron.
Other well-known people expressed their support for Trump’s arrest on Twitter, and many of them thanked Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg for bringing charges against the former president.
Regarding payments made to Daniels and Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model, to hide their alleged affairs with him, Trump entered a not guilty plea to 34 felonies. Trump is charged in the unsealed indictment with fabricating payment records to prevent his extramarital affairs from endangering his 2016 presidential campaign.
Daniels was allegedly paid $130,000 by Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen, and McDougal received $150,000 from the National Enquirer. For his part in the scheme, Cohen had received a sentence of one year in jail and two years of house arrest.
When Trump arrived, he was not placed in handcuffs or taken for a mugshot, and because he was accused of non-violent crimes, he was not required to post bail according to New York law.
Daniels has drawn harsh criticism from Trump, who has called her derogatory names and made fun of her.
The Manhattan District Attorney’s office has filed charges against him as a result of a thorough investigation; if he is found guilty, he could be sentenced to prison.
