During his last delivery of the day, after texting his wife to tell her he would be home soon, a food delivery man was viciously murdered.
The heinous crime took place in Holiday, Florida, where an Uber Eats driver was brutally murdered and dismembered. Oscar Adrian Solis, Jr., 30 years old and an ex-convict from Florida, has been charged with the killing of the delivery driver.
Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco confirmed the details of the shocking crime during a media briefing. Solis, who had been released from an Indiana prison earlier this year after serving time for assault and burglary, is accused of murdering the driver during a robbery. Solis faces additional charges of violating his parole and failing to register as a convicted felon. Sheriff Nocco revealed that Solis had ties with the violent MS-13 gang during his time in Indiana.
The investigation into the crime has unveiled that Solis attacked the driver while he was delivering food to Solis’ father. Key pieces of evidence, including the victim’s car keys and wedding ring, were found in Solis’ home. The driver’s abandoned vehicle was later found nearby, with blood-soaked towels, a Door Dash bag, and a time card bearing Solis’ name on it.
Describing the incident as a “horrific and demoniacal crime of passion,” Sheriff Nocco informed reporters that Solis, a large man standing 6 foot 4 inches and weighing 315 pounds, had been working at a Florida strip club as a security guard.
The motive behind the murder has not been revealed although it is assumed that the intent was robbery, and the investigation is still ongoing.
