A viral video shows Ben Affleck, 50, opening the car door for his 53-year-old wife, Jennifer Lopez, after a coffee stop in Los Angeles on Tuesday. As Lopez gets into the car, Affleck appears to slam the door angrily, prompting fans to question his mood and wonder if the couple was having a disagreement.
Some fans believe that the presence of paparazzi may have annoyed Affleck. One fan commented that the couple might have spotted the cameraman as they approached the car, and Affleck, irritated, motioned to the cameraman at the end of the video. On Wednesday, paparazzi caught the couple in what seemed like a tense conversation at the Los Angeles premiere of Lopez’s new movie, “The Mother.” The did, however, happily pose for photographers, laughed together, and even shared a kiss.
Affleck and Lopez have often made headlines for their interactions. In February, Lopez was allegedly seen scolding a miserable-looking Affleck at the 2023 Grammys. Affleck later clarified that he was only joking with his wife. The “Deep Water” star explained that when he noticed a camera crew about to film them, he told Lopez he would sneak away from her as soon as the cameras started rolling and leave her next to Trevor Noah. Lopez reportedly told him, “You better f–king not leave,” according to Affleck.
Affleck has also attributed his somber expression to biology – that’s just the way his face is. In March, he humorously told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel that he has an unhappy-looking resting face.
Though they had a past relationship, Ben and J-Lo moved on and had children with their former spouses before reuniting in 2021. They became engaged in April 2022 and later married in Las Vegas.
