Emma Heming Willis, the wife of actor Bruce Willis, has provided an update on the actor’s health and their family situation.
Earlier this year, Bruce Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, and he has been receiving support from his loved ones, including his nine-year-old daughter, Evelyn.
Taking to Instagram, Heming Willis shared a heartfelt video about a touching incident involving their daughter. Despite her efforts to hold back tears, she couldn’t help but be deeply moved by Evelyn’s actions.
She explained that their daughter had taken the initiative to research “fun facts about dementia” and had compiled a list at school specifically for her father. While the situation isn’t humorous, Heming Willis found it somewhat amusing, as both Bruce and Evelyn love random facts.
Heming Willis expressed her gratitude to Evelyn and assured her they would always ensure Bruce had a bottle of water at hand, as per her daughter’s suggestion. She commended Evelyn’s curiosity and self-education about her father’s condition, recognizing it as an incredibly loving and compassionate act.
In addition to Evelyn, the couple has another daughter named Mabel, who is 11 years old. Bruce Willis also has three daughters, Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah Willis, from his previous marriage to Demi Moore. He also recently became a first-time grandfather.
The award-winning actor first got into the movie industry in 1985 after being cast in the TV series Moonlighting. He was thrust into fame 1988 when he played John McClane in Die Hard. The film had two more sequels and grossed over $700 million worldwide. Since then, Willis has starred in numerous movies, including Pulp Fiction, Mercury Rising, Armageddon, The Expendables and RED.
Willis’ frontotemporal dementia diagnosis was announced in February this year, a year after his family announced his diagnosis of aphasia. Frontotemporal dementia results from excess proteins in the brain, damaging and shrinking the frontal and temporal lobes.
