Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were photographed out to dinner at Sushi Bar, a sushi restaurant at the Montecito Inn, in California. It was the first public  appearance of the couple together since King Charles’s coronation.

TMZ published photos of the couple out for the sushi date on Friday, but they were not alone. The couple dined with A-list celebrities Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz, Whitney Wolfe Herd, and their respective husbands, Brad Falchuk, Benji Madden, and Michael Herd. As the CEO and founder of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe Herd has a net worth of about $1.5 billion and is the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire.

All four couples live in the area.  Diaz and her husband Madden, as well as Paltrow and Falchuk, all live in Montecito, where the Sussexes, Harry and Meghan live. The newest residents to the community are the Herds. They just bought Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi’s Montecito house.

Meghan looked stunning in a brown Heidi Merrick mini satin dress with long sleeves. She paired the dress with a Cesta Collective off-white bucket bag and brown leather Hermes slides. Meghan slicked back her hair into a ponytail and wore a pair of gold earrings. Harry looked chic in a black T-shirt, white pants, and suede brown shoes.

Pregnancy rumors had been swirling around for weeks, but the couple’s appearance put all that to rest.

Their Sushi Bar date in Santa Barbara, California, marked their first public outing since Harry’s brief appearance at the coronation. His quick in-and-out appearance left many royal family members wondering why he bothered to show up. According to a royal insider, Harry did not see or speak to his estranged family outside of the televised ceremony. Harry arrived in London on Friday afternoon and left just over 24 hours later before the celebrations had wrapped up.

Meghan did not attend the coronation festivities at all, and Harry’s quick exit was believed to be linked to his desire to make it home for son Archie’s 4th birthday party, which happened to fall on the same day.

It’s a busy week for Meghan Markle. On May 16, she was honored in New York City by Gloria Steinem at the Ms. Foundation’s 2023 Women of Vision Awards.

The Duchess was honored alongside reproductive justice and voting rights advocates.
