Robert Kennedy Jr, 2024 Presidental Hopeful, Says CIA Killed His Uncle, JFK

Fox News reports on May 15 that Robert Kennedy, Jr., nephew of the late President John F. Kennedy (JFK) and son of the late Robert Kennedy, says he can win against Joe Biden in the Democratic Party’s primary for the nomination in 2024.

He says that public polls are showing support for him, and he has a following from Independents and even Republicans.

Kennedy Jr, generally unknown to the American public as a political hopeful, is drawing attention to himself and making news, discussing controversial topics that he has brought up in the past.

He is making headlines with his assertion that the CIA was behind the assassination of his uncle on November 22, 1963.

In a recent interview with John Catsimatidis on the “Cats Roundtable” radio show on WABC 770 AM, Kennedy Jr. argued that a significant body of evidence implicates the CIA in the 1963 murder of JFK. He cited James Douglass’ book, “JFK and the Unspeakable,” as the most comprehensive collection of evidence supporting his claims and accused the CIA of engaging in a 60-year cover-up by denying any role in JFK’s assassination.

The Warren Commission Report, released in September 1964, concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in JFK’s fatal shooting and found no evidence of a conspiracy.

This is not the first time Kennedy Jr. has pointed a finger at the CIA. Last year, he suggested the agency played a part in the assassination, alleging that Oswald was a “CIA asset.” He also referred to a segment from Tucker Carlson’s show in which the former Fox News host claimed that the CIA orchestrated a successful coup d’état through JFK’s assassination, inflicting long-term damage to democracy.

In 2021, researchers uncovered evidence indicating Oswald was part of a CIA operation months before the fatal shooting. Jefferson Morley, a JFK assassination research expert affiliated with the Mary Ferrell Foundation, revealed that he and the foundation’s legal team discovered documents suggesting the CIA had more information on Oswald than previously admitted.

However, the CIA has consistently denied any involvement in the assassination, labeling the allegations “false.” The agency also pointed out that many records from the most recent release, which occurred after Kennedy’s shooting, have no bearing on the assassination or the subsequent investigation.

Despite official denials, public opinion polls indicate that the majority of Americans remain unconvinced by the commission’s conclusion that Oswald was the sole gunman acting alone.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., 69, a member of the renowned Kennedy political family, is an environmental lawyer, activist, and author. He has devoted much of his career to environmental advocacy, co-founding the Waterkeeper Alliance.
