2 Dead, 12 Injured in Block Party Shooting

A street party in Saginaw, Michigan, about 102 miles northwest of Detroit, turned into a scene of violence on June 25, leaving two people dead and a dozen injured.

The deceased, a young man of 19 and a woman aged 51, were part of the crowd gathered at the street party. The incident transpired after midnight in the early morning hours of Sunday.

According to state police records, the event had attracted significant attention on social media, leading to a large turnout. Law enforcement officials estimate around 200 individuals were present at the party when attempts to disperse the crowd began. Yet, before order could be restored, the situation escalated into violence.

Shots were fired in the midst of the revelry, causing panic and scattering party-goers in all directions. In the ensuing mayhem, three attendees were hit by vehicles and sustained injuries. Preliminary investigations indicate the presence of multiple firearms at the scene, with at least five different weapons involved in the shooting.

So far, no arrests have been made related to the shooting incident.
