A six-year-old boy narrowly escaped death on a zip line ride at Fundidora Park in Nuevo León, Mexico.

The harrowing moment, captured on video by the boy’s family, displayed the terrifying instant when the child’s harness unexpectedly snapped, plunging him into a man-made lake located 40 feet below.

During the ill-fated ride at the Amazonian Expedition attraction, an adult male assisted young César Moreno along the zip line route. However, as they glided through the air, disaster struck when the safety belt abruptly gave way. A brave bystander jumped into the water to rescue the boy, risking potential danger to himself. The young boy’s brother and his sister’s boyfriend were able to assist and bring all to safety.

Expressing her gratitude on Facebook, César’s sister, Nataly Moreno, described how her brother and boyfriend promptly sprang into action to save her younger brother. However, she raised concerns about the park’s lack of sufficiently trained personnel to handle such emergencies, alleging that no staff members were present to assist in the water rescue.

Mayra Hernández, a relative of César Moreno, also criticized the situation, emphasizing the lack of swimming-trained employees at Fundidora Park. Hernández underscored that the incident occurred due to the failure of the harness during the ride.

Miraculously, César emerged from the incident unscathed, able to walk away alongside his relieved parents and family. In response to the distressing incident, Fundidora Park suspended activities on all attractions and commenced a comprehensive investigation into the company responsible for operating the zip line ride.

The park’s management pledged to maintain open communication with the boy’s family, offering their support and assistance to manage the aftermath of the situation. Emphasizing the utmost importance of visitor safety, Fundidora Park declared its commitment to implementing necessary measures to ensure strict adherence to contractual obligations by the involved companies.
