A 23-year-old student from Clemson University in Seneca, South Carolina, died suddenly on Saturday night, July 22, while attending the Rolling Loud festival in Miami.
Despite being rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Gardens, Jordan Petrocchi’s life could not be saved.
The cause of his death remains uncertain as there were no apparent signs of a physical altercation, drug use, or heat-related illness, according to reports. Temperatures at the concert venue had peaked at 97 degrees, prompting organizers to caution attendees about staying hydrated. Toxicology tests are pending.
Petrocchi, known for his outgoing personality and infectious smile, was due to graduate in August. His friends and family have set up a GoFundMe page in his honor, describing him as a person who brought joy to everyone he met. The fundraiser highlighted his positive influence on people’s lives, emphasizing his readiness to help others and bring positivity to any gathering.
