An argument outside a Sam’s Club store on Montgomery Cross Road in Savannah, Georgia turned into a machete attack, leaving one person injured, according to WJCL.
The incident took place around 3 pm on Monday, July 24.
According to the Chatham County Police, two men who knew each other were having an argument, which quickly escalated.
During the dispute, one of the men allegedly pulled out a machete and struck the other, resulting in non-life-threatening injuries. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.
Prompt police action led to the arrest of the suspect. Law enforcement also interviewed witnesses present at the Sam’s Club during the incident.
The identities of both the suspect and the victim have not been disclosed. The investigation is in its early stages.
