Stolen Car Chase Reveals Surprising Discovery

A police pursuit in Alabama concluded when a stolen vehicle collided with another car, revealing an unexpected twist.

An eight-year-old child was at the wheel, according to law enforcement authorities.

The Montgomery Police Department officers, responding to a car theft call on the morning of July 11, found themselves engaged in a short, intense chase. Major Saba Coleman stated that the suspect, surprisingly a child, refused to cooperate when the officers attempted to stop the stolen car.

Subsequent to the pursuit, a collision occurred between the suspect vehicle and another car at a crossroad. Fortunately, Major Coleman stated, the incident resulted in no injuries or harm.

Inside the stolen vehicle, a weapon was located by the officers.

An eyewitness, who had tracked the chase while simultaneously keeping the authorities informed, expressed a strong sense of community responsibility. “When I realized it was a little boy, I felt obliged to follow. It was essential that he was stopped before causing more accidents or harming himself or others,” he recounted.

Major Coleman has confirmed that the young suspect is now in custody, the weapon has been seized, and charges are imminent. The 8-year-old was taken to a juvenile facility and charged with first-degree robbery, attempting to elude, and as a certain persons forbidden to possess a firearm.
