Celebrated Broadway Talent, Chris Peluso, Passes Away at 40

The Broadway community is grappling with the loss of one of its finest, Chris Peluso, who departed on August 15, at the young age of 40. 

His family, including his wife Jessica Gomes and children Aria Li and Caio Lian, mourns his untimely death. As of now, the cause remains unrevealed.

A graduate of the University of Michigan, Peluso’s theatrical resume is a testament to his versatility and skill. He featured in notable Broadway shows like “Assassins,” “Lestat,” “The Glorious Ones,” and “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.” His excellence also shone on the West End, London stage in productions such as “Funny Girl,” “Show Boat,” “Miss Saigon,” and “The Woman in White.”

Peluso’s later life was marked by his struggle with schizoaffective disorder, affecting his professional endeavors and ability to work. To aid his treatment, a GoFundMe was established in 2022, gathering upwards of $25,000.

The theater world cherishes Peluso’s enduring contributions and his memorable roles will remain a testament to his talent.
