In Atmore, Alabama, two individuals lost their lives due to a collision on Saturday, August 5.

Kenneth E. Harrison, aged 45, inadvertently hit Hannah Martin, 24, as she was proceeding across Highway 31 towards The Tavern, a sports bar. The incident caused Martin to be propelled into the establishment’s parking lot, and Harrison’s vehicle came to a stop nearby.

A group of individuals from The Tavern subsequently approached and assaulted Harrison. Owing to the intensity of the assault, Harrison was transferred to a trauma center and sadly succumbed to his multiple injuries and internal bleeding four days later.

Kati Riley, who was in a relationship with Harrison, expressed that he had approached to aid the injured victim when the assault took place. She emphasized the unintentional nature of the highway accident.

The case is under scrutiny by local law enforcement, with the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office holding the authority to charge the attackers. The names of the individuals who assaulted Harrison remain undisclosed.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is also actively investigating the collision, including potential alcohol influence by either party.

Background checks revealed that Harrison was convicted of manslaughter in 2011 and served a prison sentence until his 2016 release.
