In a residence near downtown San Jose, California, a six-year-old boy and his great-grandmother were found with fatal stab injuries.
A welfare check conducted by the San Jose Police Department on Friday, August 4, led to the discovery in a home in the Buena Vista neighborhood.
The paramedics at the location confirmed the fatalities, as stated in an official police document. The police have not provided formal identification of the victims, but family members have identified the boy as Jordan Cam Walker.
To assist with funeral costs, the family has set up a GoFundMe page., which had reached $11,000. The funeral is scheduled at Emmanuel Baptist Church for August 18.
Jordan was known in his local community for his love of outdoor activities, including swimming, baseball, and basketball.
Sgt. Steve Aponte of the San Jose Police spoke about the incident, labeling it as “startling and unfortunate.” Details regarding potential suspects have not been disclosed as the investigation continues.
