The incident occurred around 7 am at their $1 million house in Somers, where Dr. Krystal Cascetta lived with her husband, Tim Talty, 37. The couple were married in 2019 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
Talty was not at home when the doctor entered her baby’s room, locked the door, shot her infant and then herself.

Her husband is the owner of Talty Bars, a protein bar company. Dr. Cascetta contributed her medical and scientific expertise to the development of the product.
A neighbor told media sources that the police and paramedics had been called to the doctor’s home in the recent past, at least two times that he was aware of.
Reportedly, Dr. Cascetta’s parents were in the home when the murder-suicide occurred.
Investigation into the tragic incident is ongoing.
