Three Family Members Found Dead in Maryland Residence

On August 18, a Towson, Maryland residence became the scene of a tragic event when three members of a family were discovered dead.

The Baltimore County Police Department, called to the home for a welfare check, identified the deceased as Yogesh H. Nagarajappa, 37, Prathiba Y. Amarnath, 37, and their six-year-old son, Yash Honnal. Preliminary information indicates that they had sustained fatal gunshot wounds.

Initial insights from the Baltimore County Police Department suggest Nagarajappa was responsible in a double-murder suicide incident. The cause and details surrounding their deaths are being scrutinized by the Chief Medical Examiner.

The last confirmed sighting of the family was on August 15. Nagarajappa, an Indian national, had resided in the U.S. for nine years and worked as a software engineer, as did his wife, Amarnath, both noted for their proficiency in the field, according to The Indian Express.

A family relative launched a GoFundMe campaign aiming to repatriate the bodies to India. The campaign has already exceeded $35,000 in donations.
