Woman Found Dead, Wrapped in Plastic in Bedroom

Law enforcement in California has commenced a homicide investigation after a mother in South Los Angeles made a disturbing discovery.

The unidentified mother entered her son’s room shortly after 1 am on Sunday, August 13, due to a distinct smell of gas. This prompted the involvement of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).

Upon their arrival, LAPD officers found a deceased body, identified as a 30-year-old woman, wrapped in plastic in the young man’s room.

Paramedics arrived promptly, but the woman was declared deceased at the scene. The timeline of how long the body had been there remains uncertain, adding complexity to the ongoing investigation.

Details about the victim’s identity and the circumstances of her death are currently undisclosed, although some sites have identified the victim as Hannah Rachel Collins, a native of Mississippi, who had recently moved to Los Angeles.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of death and are analyzing all available evidence.

The 26-year-old son is of prime interest to the police and is currently being sought for questioning.

As the investigation continues, law enforcement aims to unravel the facts surrounding this case, which has left the South Los Angeles community in shock.
