12-Year-Old Boy Dies in Hot Conditions at School Gym

Yahshua Robinson, a 12-year-old student at Canyon Lake Middle School in Lake Elsinore, California, met a tragic end during a gym class that took place in high temperatures. According to accounts, Yahshua, was forced to run because he came to school without the proper gym clothes He conveyed discomfort and asked for water before facing difficulties in breathing and collapsing.

Immediately after, emergency personnel responded, and Yahshua was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center in Murrieta, California. However, by 12:55 pm, the boy was declared dead.

Adding to the weight of the tragedy, Yahshua’s mother, herself an experienced gym teacher, had previously recommended against outdoor exercises due to the prevailing hot weather.

The incident is now under the purview of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. As the Robinson family awaits clarity from an autopsy report, they receive support through a GoFundMe page initiated by Amarna Plummer, Yahshua’s aunt. The Lake Elsinore Unified School District has conveyed its condolences to the family.
