A six-year-old boy from Georgetown, Texas, is in critical condition after being struck in the head with a baseball bat by his neighbor.
The incident happened on September 11 on Rock Mill Loop.
The accused, Daniel Logan, 39, is said to have entered Jeremy Tang Diaz’s family home around 5 am.
After gaining access, he allegedly assaulted Jeremy, who was asleep, with the baseball bat. The young boy’s parents, Yilin and Arturo Diaz were also targeted but managed to avoid being hit. Due to the assault, Jeremy suffered severe injuries and is now in a coma.
Before the alleged attack on the Diaz family, Logan is believed to have assaulted his own mother, Cynthia Logan. She sustained injuries, including a broken tooth, a cut on her face, and swelling around her left eye.
Authorities acted quickly and arrested Logan. He is now facing charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon against a family member.
As for Jeremy’s condition, recent updates suggest he remains comatose. A GoFundMe campaign has been initiated to support his recovery.
Officials have launched a thorough investigation into the incident. As of now, the reason behind Logan’s alleged actions remains unclear.
