A pregnant mother and her two children were discovered lifeless inside a camper at the Inman Motocross track in Kansas on Saturday, September 16.
The incident came to light when the McPherson County Sheriff’s Department received a report regarding three individuals in a camper.
The Inman Fire Department and McPherson emergency medical services were quickly on the scene. After assessment, they confirmed the tragic deaths of all three people.
The deceased individuals have been named as Felecia Richey, 31, and her two children, Tysin, 13, and Bentley, 10. Jason Richey, Felecia’s spouse and father to Tysin and Bentley, confirmed the identities. Jason, a professional motocross driver, is left with a three-year old son.
The exact circumstances surrounding their deaths remain under investigation. While the official cause has yet to be released, an online fundraiser has pointed to carbon monoxide poisoning as the possible reason.
