Murder-Suicide Timeshare Resort: 3 Dead

Authorities disclosed the identities of three individuals on Thursday, September 7, who were found deceased at Whitebirch Resort in Breezy Point, Minnesota.

Michael Charles Toner, a 59-year-old from Maple Grove, is believed to have taken the lives of Melanie Michele Jansen, 54, and her daughter, Hannah Nicole Parmenter, 29, from Elk River, before ending his own life.

The incident occurred at the resort, located roughly 150 miles from Minneapolis. The bodies were located on Tuesday, September 5, at about 8:50 pm.

Visiting his mother and sister, Jansen’s son, along with his spouse, notified the police after observing an unsettling sight through a window. They made a 911 call when their efforts to get a response from inside went unnoticed.

Postmortem results from Wednesday, September 6, revealed multiple gunshot wounds on both women, while Toner had a gunshot injury to his head. The Crow Wing County Attorney, Donald Ryan, stated that inquiries into the matter continue.
