Driver Dies in School Bus Collision

A collision took place between a sedan and a school bus on Lake Road in Webster, Monroe County, New York, at approximately 1:15 pm on Wednesday, September 27, causing the sedan driver’s death on impact. 

According to reports provided by the Webster Police Department, the sedan came into the path of the school bus. The bus transported 22 high school students and three adults, coming back from a field trip. A child and an adult were sent to a healthcare facility for evaluation. 

After the collision, the sedan’s driver was pronounced dead at the location.

Photos posted after the event exhibit substantial smoke emanating from the school bus. Emergency rescuers arrived and controlled the fire. 

The precise reason for the accident is under investigation, but initial reports imply that the sedan coming from Route 250 might have pulled into the bus’s lane. Law enforcement personnel were on site evaluating the damage and supervising the clean-up operations.
