“Suits” Star Regrets Sharing Photos  of Meghan Markle

Patrick J. Adams, famed for his role as Mike Ross on the hit TV show “Suits”, recently posted throwback photos from his time on the series, featuring Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, who was a co-star. Shortly after the post, Adams took down the photos and extended an apology.

The images were intended to reminisce about the time when the actors worked together on “Suits”. Nevertheless, Patrick J. Adams came to realize that the timing for sharing these memories was poorly chosen. He faced backlash from fans and from the Screen Actors Guild union (SAG-AFTRA). The main concern was that these posts might unintentionally act as promotions for a show during the SAG-AFTRA strike, which went against union guidelines.

During the strike, SAG-AFTRA members were advised to refrain from promotional activities for shows that were part of the strike. Patrick J. Adams’ posts inadvertently went against these rules.

There were further concerns about whether Meghan Markle had given her consent for the photos to be shared. Sources suggest that Adams did not get approval from Meghan before sharing. Given the recent negative attention aimed at Meghan, posting the images without her consent is viewed as an invasion of her privacy. Addressing this, Adams stressed the significance of his and Meghan’s friendship, admitting he should have been more careful.

Although some believe Meghan might have influenced the decision to remove the photos over image concerns, her spokesperson did not comment on these claims. The primary issue was respecting her privacy and adhering to the union’s directives during the strike. In his apology, Adams emphasized that he did not mean for his posts to act as advertisements or take away from the union’s goals.
