In a recent “Wheel of Fortune” episode, contestant Gishma Tabari became the center of a viral moment with her unusual guess during a triple toss-up puzzle.
The game featured the category “Show Biz.” The puzzle, partially solved as “TH- -RITI-S_-GR-E,” prompted Tabari to guess “The British Ogre,” leaving viewers and the show’s long-time host Pat Sajak visibly surprised.
Tabari, a New York native and a fan of “Wheel of Fortune” since childhood, spoke about her experience, expressing her initial fear of saying something silly on national television.
This fear became a reality when her imaginative guess, which she later acknowledged made no sense, caught everyone off guard. The correct answer, as revealed later, was “The Critics Agree.” Despite realizing her error, she was asked by Sajak to repeat her guess, adding to the moment’s humor.
This incident quickly gained traction on social media, with many users sharing their reactions. While some comments were hurtful, Tabari maintained a positive outlook, stating that the majority of the feedback was supportive. She reflected on the experience with a sense of humor, even jokingly personifying her guess, “The British Ogre.”
Despite the mishap, Tabari’s appearance on the show was successful. She won a significant cash prize and a cruise, which she plans to enjoy with her husband, Saman, as their honeymoon. The couple had celebrated their two-month wedding anniversary on the day of the taping.
