Cindy Morgan, known by fans for her roles in the films “Caddyshack” and “Tron,” died on December 30 at the age of 69.

The Palm Beach County, Florida Sheriff’s Office confirmed that her death was from natural causes. She was found dead in her room by a roommate.

Born Cynthia Ann Cichorski in 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, Morgan was a significant figure in the entertainment industry. She began her career in media, first reporting weather on TV in Rockford, Illinois, and later working overnight shifts at a radio station. Morgan later moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting, adopting the stage name Cindy Morgan.

Morgan’s breakthrough role came in 1980 with the sports comedy film “Caddyshack,” where she played Lacey Underall, the attractive niece of a country club owner. Her performance in this role, alongside actors like Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, and Rodney Dangerfield, marked a pivotal point in her career.

In addition to “Caddyshack,” Morgan was also known for her dual roles as Lora and Yori in the 1982 sci-fi film “Tron.” The film was notable for its pioneering visuals in the realm of video games and computer graphics.

In addition to these iconic roles, Morgan had an extensive career in both film and television. Her filmography includes titles like “Up Yours,” “Silent Fury,” “American Gigolo,” “Amanda & The Alien,” and “Galaxis.”

Morgan’s television appearances were equally prominent, featuring in shows such as “Mancuso, FBI,” “The Larry Sanders Show,” “Under Suspicion,” “The Love Boat,” “CHiPs,” “Bring ‘Em Back Alive,” “The Fall Guy,” “Falcon Crest,” “Matlock,” “Hunter,” and “The Highwayman.”

Beyond her acting career, Morgan was deeply committed to supporting U.S. military personnel. She actively worked towards easing the financial burdens of families affected by the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Her passion for this cause was partly influenced by her father, who served in World War II.

Morgan’s last known film credit was in a 2022 movie where she provided voice work for a character’s mother. In her later years, she also engaged in voiceover work, including for the “Tron” franchise, and appeared in several short films and video games. Her commitment to charity work, particularly in support of American veterans, remained a significant part of her life.

The details surrounding the arrangements following her passing are currently limited, with her body reportedly being at a nearby funeral facility in Florida.
