Pro wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, 70, showcased his heroism on a Florida highway, stepping into a life-saving role during a car crash in Clearwater, Florida.
Hogan, known for his towering presence in the wrestling world, demonstrated his commitment to community welfare in a real-life rescue mission.
The incident occurred on Sunday evening, January 14, 2024, when Hogan, along with his wife Sky Daily, 45, and a friend, approached the scene of the accident.
A teenager’s car had overturned, leaving her in urgent need of help. Hogan, displaying quick thinking and compassion, used the tools he had on hand to help free the young girl from the wreckage.
Working in tandem with his friend, identified as Jake Rask, they managed to pop the airbags, using a ballpoint pen, allowing safe extrication of the teenager from her car. According to reports, the teenager was shaken but not seriously injured.
Linda Bose, Hogan’s representative, spoke of the wrestler’s character and his propensity to help those in need, stating, “It’s typical for Hulk, he has a big heart. He helps and treats people with the highest respect.”
The rescue comes as a positive highlight in Hogan’s life, which has seen its share of personal and professional challenges.
Hogan’s presence in the public eye has been somewhat muted in recent years following his departure from WWE amid controversies. However, this act of bravery and compassion reaffirms his longstanding connection to the Florida community.
Hogan, born Terry Bollea, has been a fixture in the state of Florida for decades.
His personal life has seen significant changes over the years. His recent marriage to Sky Daily is his third. He was previously married to Linda Hogan from 1983 to 2009, with whom he has two children, Brooke and Nick Hogan. He was later married to Jennifer McDaniel from 2010 until their separation in 2021.
