Stormy Daniels, known for her allegations against former President Donald Trump, and her husband Barrett Blade said they were contemplating leaving the United States, depending on the outcome of Trump’s ongoing trial. The trial centered on a hush-money payment related to Daniels’ claims of a past sexual encounter with Trump.

Barrett Blade, who shares his professional background in the adult film industry with his wife, Stormy Daniels, shared the couple’s potential plans with CNN’s OutFront on Tuesday, May 14, 2024. He mentioned the intense scrutiny Daniels has faced since making her allegations public.

The trial in question ended on Thursday, May 30 in Manhattan, New York City, focusing on a $130,000 payment Daniels received to remain silent about her claims just before the 2016 presidential election. Trump was accused of orchestrating this payout through his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, and subsequently trying to mask the transaction as a legal expense.

The New York jury found Trump guilty on all counts. The judge will announce sentencing on July 11. Trump said he will appeal the verdict.

Blade said he anticipates continued negativity and vitriol from Trump’s supporters and expressed a wish for the couple to pursue a peaceful life, despite questions about whether such a life is achievable under the circumstances.

Daniels, whose legal name is Stephanie Clifford, gave detailed testimony during the trial, sharing explicit details of her alleged encounter with Trump. The nature of her testimony led the judge to advise caution. Among the events she recounted was an incident where she claimed to have spanked Trump with a magazine bearing his image and described their sexual encounter in specific terms.

Due to safety concerns, Daniels reportedly wore a bulletproof vest to court. Her attorney, Clark Brewster, emphasized the fear of potential threats from extremists, highlighting the serious nature of the situation.

Trump, viewed as the likely Republican candidate for the 2024 presidential election, denied the allegations. He and his legal representatives disputed the charges related to the hush-money payment.

Echoing their attorney’s statements, Daniels’ husband highlighted Daniels’ determination and dedication to transparency as her motivating factors throughout this process. Despite the continuous challenges and media focus, he described her as resilient, confronting the situation with fortitude.
