In the early hours of Saturday morning, June 29, 2024, a quiet neighborhood in Sharpsburg, Georgia, was shaken by an incident that left four people dead. The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the case as a murder-suicide.

Authorities responded to multiple 911 calls just after 1 a.m. and arrived at a home on Crabapple Court to find two bodies in the driveway and another in the doorway. As deputies arrived, a man ran into the house, and a gunshot was heard shortly after. The SWAT team was called in to secure the home, where they discovered the body of the shooter.

The coroner’s office has identified the victims as Joshua Wimmer, 32, Parker Anderson, 31, and Tina Sasser, 56. The shooter was identified as Brandon Suckow, 32. The relationships between the victims and the shooter are still unclear, and the motive remains unknown.

Neighbor Audrey Jackson expressed shock and disbelief at the incident, stating, “It’s really close to home, you know. It’s crazy to think that something like that could happen that close and not know. And to think that four people back to back to back, right by your house.”

Another resident, Brandi Wright, described hearing a noise she initially mistook for thunder. “It had just started raining, and my mom mentioned, ‘Did you hear that? It sounds like thunder.’ I replied, ‘I don’t think that was thunder.’ It sounded just like a gunshot because it was much louder than thunder.”

Tina Sasser’s daughter, Brittany Carter, described her mother as “a wonderful human being who would give you the shirt off her back and help anybody that needed it.” Sasser’s death has deeply affected those who knew her.

The community of Sharpsburg, located about 40 miles southwest of Atlanta, is struggling with the aftermath of this incident. Many have expressed their sorrow and disbelief, emphasizing that such an event is unprecedented in their community.

As the investigation progresses, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The sheriff’s office has set up a tip line to assist with gathering any additional details that could shed light on the case.
