Former First Lady Melania Trump will release her first memoir, “Melania,” this fall. The memoir, published by Skyhorse Publishing, is a compelling and motivational account of a woman who has forged her own path, triumphed over challenges, and exemplified personal excellence.
Melania Trump, who has largely stayed out of the public eye since her husband, former President Donald Trump, left office, offers readers an intimate look into her life. The release announcement suggests that Melania invites readers to explore her world, providing an intimate look at the often enigmatic former first lady, sharing personal stories and family photos that have never been exposed before.
The memoir will be released on September 24, 2024, and available in two editions. The “Collector’s Edition” is a 256-page, full-color book signed by Melania Trump, priced at $150. The “Memoir Edition” is 304 pages long, including 48 pages of never-before-seen photographs, and will be priced at $40, with signed copies available for $75. Both editions can be pre-ordered exclusively through Melania Trump’s website, MelaniaTrump.com.
Skyhorse Publishing, renowned for its politically charged and controversial releases, is set to handle the publication. The publisher has previously worked with Trump supporters such as attorney Alan Dershowitz and former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. Additionally, they have published works by figures like Michael Cohen, a former Trump insider turned critic, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Announced on Thursday, the memoir’s release date has not been confirmed beyond September 24. Melania Trump’s office spokesperson provided no additional details beyond the initial announcement, including financial terms, promotional plans, or whether a co-author was involved.
Born in Slovenia, Melania moved to the United States in 1996 to pursue a modeling career. She met Donald Trump in 1998, and the couple married in 2005. Their son, Barron Trump, was born the following year.
During Donald Trump’s presidency, Melania Trump kept a low profile, dedicating her efforts to raising their son and advocating for her “Be Best” initiative, which focused on children’s social, emotional, and physical well-being. Opting to remain absent from the campaign trail in her husband’s current presidential bid, she diverges significantly from the typical involvement of candidates’ spouses.
In a rare public appearance, Melania Trump attended her husband’s 2024 campaign launch event and the closing night of the Republican National Convention. However, she chose not to deliver a speech at the convention, breaking from the tradition she followed in 2016 and 2020.
Unlike former presidents and first ladies, Donald and Melania Trump have not utilized mainstream New York publishers for their post-White House books. Since leaving office, Donald Trump has released a picture book celebrating his tenure in the White House and a collection of letters from global leaders and celebrities. Both publications were issued by Winning Team Publishing, co-founded by Donald Trump Jr. and former Trump campaign staffer Sergio Gor.
Skyhorse Publishing President Tony Lyons described the book as “a diligent and historically important record of the turbulent recent past of our country, seen from Melania Trump’s unique vantage point.” He added, “It conveys her core beliefs of unity, hope, and kindness, and whatever you thought you knew about this intensely private woman, these pages contain something more — and something deeper.”
Melania Trump’s memoir, “Melania,” is poised to be a significant release this fall, offering readers an unprecedented look into the life of one of the most private figures in recent American political history.
