Mike Heslin, the talented actor known for his roles in “Special Ops: Lioness,” and “The Holiday Proposal Plan,” died on Tuesday, July 2 at the age of 30, following an unexpected cardiac event.
His husband, Scotty Dynamo, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, expressing his profound grief and highlighting Heslin’s vibrant life and generous spirit.
Heslin’s sudden passing came as a shock to many, as he was in perfect health, according to his doctors. Despite a week-long battle in the hospital, the medical team could not determine the cause of the cardiac event. Dynamo, reflecting on the loss, wrote, “Michael was brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel” who had been his rock during his own battle with cancer.
The couple, who married in November 2023, had been in the early stages of starting a family. Dynamo shared his deep sorrow and their dreams for their future.
Heslin’s impact extended beyond his personal life. As an actor, he debuted in 2014 with the Showtime series “7 Deadly Sins” and continued building a diverse portfolio. His most notable role was in the Paramount+ series “Special Ops: Lioness,” where he worked alongside stars Zoe Saldana and Nicole Kidman. Heslin also created, wrote, directed, and starred in the 2020 mockumentary series “The Influencers,” which was nominated for a Queerty award.
Heslin’s generosity and kindness were further exemplified through his decision to be an organ donor, a wish that has already helped save the lives of four people.
