NBA Star Makes Surprise Presidential Endorsement

NBA superstar Steph Curry endorsed Kamala Harris for president in a heartfelt video message. The Golden State Warriors point guard, fresh off leading Team USA to a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, emphasized Harris’ ability to unite the country and urged Americans to participate in the upcoming election.

“This is about preserving hope and belief in our country,” Curry said in the video, wearing his Olympic gold medal. Curry added that Harris is well-suited for the presidency and that he feels privileged to support her. He emphasized the importance of collective effort, urging everyone to get involved and contribute to the process.

Curry, known for his excellence on the court and advocacy for social issues, expressed confidence in Harris’ leadership. His relationship with Harris stems from their shared San Francisco Bay Area roots. Harris, originally from Oakland, has long supported the Warriors, and Curry had the chance to meet her during the Warriors’ visit to the White House after their 2022 championship win.

Curry’s boss, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, also endorsed Harris for president. He expressed his belief in a specific form of leadership, emphasizing that leaders need to uphold dignity, be truthful, maintain the ability to laugh at themselves, and genuinely care for and love those they lead. Kerr also noted that he recognized these qualities in Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz.

Kerr referenced Warriors star Steph Curry’s well-known “Night, Night” celebration gesture. He stated that once the election results are finalized, they will be able to, as Steph Curry famously says, tell Donald Trump, “Night, night!”
