Jennifer Lopez’s $68M Nightmare

Jennifer Lopez continues to reside in the $68 million Beverly Hills, California mansion she once shared with Ben Affleck, even as the property sits on the market seven months after their separation.

The 38,000-square-foot estate, known as Crestview Manor, has attracted potential buyers but remains unsold since being listed in July 2024. A recent deal with buyers from New Jersey fell through when the interested party had to withdraw due to a death in the family.

The property, which the former couple purchased in May 2023 for $60.8 million, boasts 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms. It includes a separate 5,000-square-foot guest penthouse, caretaker house, and two-bedroom guardhouse. The estate features parking accommodations for up to 80 vehicles, including a 12-car garage.

The Beverly Hills mansion includes an indoor sports complex complete with basketball and pickleball courts, a fully equipped gym, a boxing ring, and a sports lounge. The property sits behind double gates and is only accessible through private, gated streets

While Lopez remains at the Beverly Hills address, Affleck has moved on to a new $20.5 million residence in Pacific Palisades, California.

The current real estate market presents challenges for selling such a high-value property. Real estate experts estimate the couple could potentially lose up to $25 million on the sale, citing factors such as the property’s location, size, and current market conditions.

The monthly carrying costs for the property are substantial, totaling approximately $283,666, which includes mortgage payments, taxes, security, maintenance, and utilities. The annual property tax alone amounts to $476,000.

Lopez filed for divorce in August 2024, citing April 26 as their separation date. The filing coincided with the second anniversary of their formal wedding ceremony.

Sources indicate Lopez has been actively searching for a new residence since April. Recent reports suggest she is in negotiations to purchase the Azria Estate in Los Angeles’ Holmby Hills neighborhood, listed at $55 million. The 30,000-square-foot property features 14 bedrooms and 25 bathrooms, and notably served as a filming location for Lopez’s 2024 film “Atlas.”
