The remains of 16-year-old Trentin Isaac from Mansfield, Ohio, were discovered in Harrison County, roughly two hours away from his last known location, according to a Tuesday statement from local police.
Isaac vanished on November 12 and was found a week later, on November 19, in Harrison County, as per the Mansfield Police Department. The teenager’s body was transferred to the Cuyahoga County coroner’s office for a post-mortem examination due to the “suspicious circumstances” linked to the case.
“We have more questions than answers at this point,” said Mansfield Police Chief Jason Bammann, who is overseeing the investigation in collaboration with state and local agencies to compile more details about the tragic event.Bammann stated.
The department has received multiple unconfirmed leads regarding videos and social media posts purportedly related to Isaac’s disappearance. However, police have yet to receive any substantial evidence to support these allegations.
The Mansfield Police Department is strongly encouraging the public to avoid launching their own inquiries and to provide any relevant information directly to law enforcement instead.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to aid Isaac’s family, describing him as being loved and missed by his parents, siblings, extended family, and friends.
The Mansfield Police have not disclosed any details regarding potential suspects or persons of interest in the case. However, they have suggested that multiple individuals might be involved and pledged to “bring justice to the individuals who committed this act.”
Anyone with information, such as potential videos, photographs, or social media content related to Isaac’s disappearance, is urged to contact Detective Ronee Swisher at 419-755-9432, according to a request from the Mansfield Police Department.
