Star of Hit Series Found Dead at 44

Khadiyah “KD” Lewis, a former cast member of the VH1 reality series “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” died on May 30, 2025, at age 44. Her family confirmed the news on June 5, though no cause of death has been disclosed.

Lewis’ brother Jamaal Lewis told The Shade Room that “this has been an extremely emotionally devastating time.” The family has requested privacy and indicated they will not discuss the circumstances surrounding her death.

Another brother, Elijah Inegbedion, shared an emotional tribute on social media, expressing that he had been at a loss for words and praising the legacy Lewis left behind. He described her as someone who always had his back and noted that God blessed him when making him her baby brother, adding that she would forever remain in his mind and heart.

Born on March 31, 1981, in Oklahoma City, Lewis first gained national attention during Season 3 of “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” in 2014. She initially appeared sporadically while dating rapper Yung Joc, whom she had met while working in real estate as his agent and personal assistant.

Lewis became a recurring cast member in Season 4, where her relationship with Yung Joc became a central storyline. The romance was marked by various ups and downs before the couple reportedly ended their relationship prior to Season 5, citing alleged infidelity and complications involving the mothers of Yung Joc’s children.

Beyond her television appearances, Lewis was an accomplished entrepreneur and businesswoman. Lewis is survived by her parents, Debra Body and David Clark Lewis Jr., her sisters Rasheedah Lewis and Nia T. Hill, and her brothers Jamaal Lewis and Ahmedu Elijah Inegbedion.
