On Tuesday morning, October 24, 2023, in Santiago, Chile, a popular TikTok figure was killed by an unknown individual wearing a mask.
Twenty-four-year-old Sabrina Durán, was on her way to a nail salon in Padre Hurtado, Santiago, Chile, when her life was taken. Famous as “Ina, the Narco Queen” due to her previous involvement in drug-related activities, Durán faced three men before a masked shooter ended her life with multiple bullets. A nearby person managed to film the horrifying event, showing Durán on the ground, trying to rise, before more shots rang out. The shooter used Durán’s car to make a swift getaway.
While it’s not yet fully understood why Durán was targeted, some individuals with knowledge about the situation think it might be related to “settling old debts.” The exact reasons or individuals who wanted Durán dead are yet to be identified. Shortly after the incident, her vehicle was found ablaze in Quilicura. This may have been an effort to eliminate any evidence or perhaps a message.
Police officer Leonel Muñoz noted that the authorities are looking into various possible motives for the crime. The police are anticipated to release more details as their investigation progresses.
In 2022, Sabrina Durán was handed a three-year jail sentence for drug trafficking. While incarcerated, she made an attempt to break out with several fellow prisoners by jumping from the facility’s third level but was immediately apprehended.
Beyond her criminal past, Durán was prominent on TikTok, boasting a fan base of over 467,000 since starting in 2021. She primarily endorsed beauty items. Only 24 hours before her untimely death, Durán had showcased products from DCM Cosmetic, merging her online popularity with her infamous past.
