NJ Man Kills Wife’s Boyfriend and Self in Murder-Suicide

New Jersey authorities have initiated an investigation into a murder-suicide that happened on Saturday, leaving two men dead and a woman injured.

The Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force from the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is handling the investigation, as announced by the authorities on Sunday.

On Saturday, June 10, around 11:30 pm, Newark police responded promptly to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered Isaiah Cobb, 33, with visible gunshot wounds. Cobb was declared dead at the scene at 11:45 pm.

Officers also discovered Terrance Carroll, 51, with a gunshot wound to the head. He was immediately rushed to University Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, Carroll’s injuries were critical, and he was pronounced dead at 12:13 am on Sunday.

A female victim, whose identity has not yet been released, also suffered injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.

According to law enforcement sources, Carroll is alleged to have shot Cobb, who was reportedly involved with Carroll’s wife. The source reported that Carroll had parked his car across the street from Cobb’s home, where he waited throughout the night. He then shot Cobb in the head while Cobb was sitting in his car. After the shooting, Carroll reportedly returned home, assaulted his wife, and then shot himself.

Authorities have not yet confirmed the identity of Carroll’s wife or whether the couple was separated.

The investigation continues, with authorities encouraging anyone with further information about the shooting to come forward.
