A passenger bus plunged approximately 600 feet down an embankment in Zontecomatlan, Veracruz state, eastern Mexico, on December 24, 2025, leaving at least 10 people dead and 32 others injured.
The crash occurred at 5pm local time on Christmas Eve as the Conexion bus line vehicle traveled along a winding road in the municipality. The bus veered off the road on a difficult stretch, plunged into a ravine, overturned and landed upside down at the bottom of the embankment.
