RFK Jr. Describes Trump’s Wild Eating Habits

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. didn’t hold back when asked about Donald Trump’s eating habits on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, calling them “really bad and unhinged” while marveling that the 79-year-old president remains so energetic despite consuming massive amounts of McDonald’s, candy, and Diet Coke.

Kennedy dropped the bombshell during his appearance on The Katie Miller Podcast on Tuesday. When host Katie Miller — wife of senior Trump administration official Stephen Miller — asked which cabinet member had the most unhinged eating habits, Kennedy’s answer was swift and blunt.

“The president,” Kennedy replied without hesitation, sending Miller into laughter. He continued: “The interesting thing about the president is that he eats really bad food, which is McDonald’s. And then candy and Diet Coke. He drinks Diet Coke at all times. If you travel with him, you get this idea that he’s just pumping himself full of poison all day long.”

But Kennedy quickly pivoted to praise Trump’s remarkable constitution. “He has the constitution of a deity,” the health secretary declared. “I don’t know how he’s alive, but he is.” Kennedy described Trump as energetic, calling him “the most energetic person any of us have ever met.”

The health secretary explained Trump’s reasoning behind the fast food consumption. Trump trusts big corporations and prefers their food when traveling because he doesn’t want to get sick on the road, Kennedy said. However, when Trump stays at Mar-a-Lago or the White House, “he’s eating really good food,” according to Kennedy.

Kennedy’s comments gained weight from a resurfaced podcast interview with Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Gruters, who witnessed Trump’s legendary appetite firsthand. Gruters described being shocked during the 2024 campaign when he saw Trump consume hot fries from McDonald’s along with a Filet-O-Fish, Quarter Pounder, and Big Mac — all in one sitting. Even more startling, Gruters said Trump “combined two of them together.”

Trump has openly embraced his McDonald’s obsession. Speaking at the McDonald’s Impact Summit in November, he proudly declared himself one of the chain’s “all-time most loyal customers.”

Despite the concerning diet, Kennedy shared remarkable medical details about Trump during the podcast. The 71-year-old revealed that Dr. Mehmet Oz, Trump’s administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, had examined the president’s medical records and made a striking discovery: Trump has the highest testosterone level Oz has ever seen “for an individual over 70 years old.” Kennedy, with a chuckle, remarked that the president would be pleased to hear him repeat that.

The medical picture becomes more complex when examining Trump’s official health records. Following his examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in April 2025, White House physician Dr. Sean Barbabella reported that Trump’s cardiovascular system is excellent and his abdominal imaging shows all major organs appearing very healthy. Barbabella described the president as having “robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and general physical function.”

Trump addressed health concerns himself in a recent Wall Street Journal interview, dismissing suggestions that he appears tired during public appearances. He explained that images showing his eyes closed typically capture him mid-blink rather than evidence of fatigue. He said he had never needed much sleep during his life.

The president also revealed details about his medication regimen. Trump takes 325 milligrams of aspirin daily — significantly higher than the typical 81-milligram dose recommended for cardiovascular protection. He acknowledged the bruising this causes on his hands, which he sometimes covers with makeup before public appearances. Trump said that his doctors preferred he take the smaller dose, but he insisted on taking the larger one instead.

At 79, Trump faces natural scrutiny as one of the oldest presidents in American history. He will turn 80 on June 14, making him 82 by the end of his second term — potentially the oldest sitting president in U.S. history. Questions about his health, stamina, and daily routines have intensified accordingly.

Kennedy’s candid assessment highlights a fascinating paradox. While medical professionals typically discourage diets heavy in processed foods and sugar, Trump’s physician continues to report positive health markers. The October 2025 medical imaging found no concerning issues with his major organs or cardiovascular function, with Dr. Barbabella noting that all systems appear to be functioning normally.

The health secretary’s unfiltered discussion provides rare insight into Trump’s daily habits and personal preferences. Kennedy emphasized that while Trump’s road diet might raise eyebrows among health experts, his overall health remains remarkably robust for someone approaching 80.
