Donald Trump Blindsided by Savage New Insult

Marjorie Taylor Greene has a brand-new diagnosis for the MAGA faithful — and it lands squarely on President Trump’s doorstep. The Georgia firebrand-turned-thorn-in-Trump’s-side has flipped one of the president’s favorite catchphrases inside out, declaring she doesn’t suffer from “Trump Derangement Syndrome” but rather “Trump Disappointment Syndrome.”

The cheeky rebrand surfaced in an X post on Monday, May 4, 2026, attached to a nearly five-minute clip from Greene’s April 25 speech at the Ron Paul Institute conference in Lake Jackson, Texas. The video had already cleared 700,000 views by May 5 and gave Greene yet another chance to twist the knife into her former patron.

“I don’t have Trump Derangement Syndrome, I have Trump Disappointment Syndrome,” Greene wrote, alongside her sharper sentiment that “MAGA should never be told that a convicted pedophile and his circle of elite friends raping girls when they are 14 or 16 years old is a Democrat hoax.”

The Phone Call That Shattered MAGA

In her Texas address, Greene, 51, offered her most vivid retelling yet of the phone call she says ended her alliance with Trump, 79, for good. According to Greene, the president dialed her up after she crossed the aisle to sign a Democrat-led discharge petition demanding the release of files tied to Jeffrey Epstein.

By her account, Trump told her: “Marjorie, you’re gonna have to take your name off that discharge petition… It’s a Democrat hoax… My friends are going to get hurt.” She said the president went further, warning that “people in Palm Beach” and “people you know at Mar-a-Lago” would be harmed if the files saw daylight.

Greene didn’t budge. “That’s when MAGA died,” she told the audience. “That’s when the entire thing shattered for me.”

She also alleged that Trump leaned on Speaker Mike Johnson to bury any Epstein-related bill in the House Rules Committee, and that he ordered Attorney General Pam Bondi not to release the files at all. “He told everybody, ‘don’t release the Epstein files,'” Greene said in the clip.

From MAGA General to Trump’s Tormentor

Greene, who once described herself as “a general in the MAGA army,” walked out of her House seat in January 2026 after Trump revoked his endorsement and vowed to back a primary challenger. Since then, she’s spent her post-Capitol life on the right-wing speaking circuit, putting her former ally on blast over the Epstein saga and his administration’s war with Iran.

Trump ultimately signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act in November 2025, but only after a four-Republican revolt — Greene, Thomas Massie, Lauren Boebert and Nancy Mace — left him with no escape route in the House. He has since taken to calling Greene “Marjorie Traitor Greene” and a “ranting lunatic,” and last week even tossed a snide aside at her to her fiancé, Real America’s Voice correspondent Brian Glenn.

Greene seems unbothered. Recalling the moment she signed the petition with Democrats, she quipped, “Oh, did I get my name on the naughty list then.” She insists the issue isn’t partisan: “This crosses party lines, it crosses all lines.”

No Plans, No Politics, No Apologies

For all her noise, Greene has flatly ruled out the next obvious moves. In an appearance on CBS’s “60 Minutes” with Lesley Stahl, she said she has “zero plans, zero desire” to run for president and waved off any Senate or gubernatorial ambitions, telling Stahl she is “not your politician with a whole itinerary of plans or political ambitions.”

The political break has cost her. Greene, who has a long history of promoting wild conspiracy theories and inflammatory claims, has revealed she’s logged hundreds of death threats with Capitol Police since 2021, including a pipe-bomb scare at her home and direct threats against her son in the wake of Trump’s “Traitor” jibe.

Posting a photo of herself alongside Ron Paul at the Texas event, Greene gushed on social media: “I was honored to speak at the Ron Paul Institute this weekend! Dr Ron Paul is a legend!”

The White House Fires Back

The Trump White House isn’t laughing along. Spokesman Davis Ingle dismissed Greene’s latest jab in characteristically blunt fashion, calling her “a quitter who is pathetically trying to stay relevant by going on liberal media shows to bash President Trump.” Ingle added that “Trump Derangement Syndrome has rotted former congresswoman Greene’s peanut-sized brain.”

Greene’s reframing of TDS may be the sharpest needle yet, precisely because it’s aimed at the audience Trump can’t afford to lose: the disillusioned MAGA voter. Slapping the “Derangement” label on a longtime liberal critic is one thing. Slapping it on the woman who once branded herself a general in his army is something else entirely — and Greene clearly knows it.

For now, the former congresswoman from Georgia seems perfectly content to keep posting, keep speaking and keep poking the bear from a safe distance — armed with a new catchphrase and an audience that’s listening.
